It may not have been thought by anybody that the emerging BJP as the largest party in Maharashtra will miss the government.

But the BJP has to pay for its ego. The way the BJP deals with other political parties, its allies and the opposition, in that case, they had to face difficulty in forming a coalition government.

While the BJP continued to show its pride in front of the Shiv Sena, NCP chief Sharad Pawar continued to target the cause of the unseen during the entire election campaign.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray does not want to prove his party small in front of the BJP. They do not want the BJP to swallow their party completely.

On the other hand, Sharad Pawar emerged as the source of the ongoing political drama in Maharashtra. They are constantly targeting opposition parties, making their strongholds stronger.

The fault of the state and central leaders

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was leaning towards both Uddhav Thackeray and Pawar, but due to the arrogant nature of the party, he did not succeed in getting any one sad.

During the election campaign, Fadnavis ridiculed many senior leader Sharad Pawar several times by himself. Even he had told the NCP chief's political end. He also forgot to take Uddhav Thackeray lightly.

But not only Fadnavis made a mistake in Maharashtra. The Shiv Sena turned away from them because of the mistakes of many prominent BJP leaders. This includes leaders from both the state and the center.

Narendra Modi has called Uddhav Thackeray several times as his younger brother. But there was a big difference between BJP's statement and Karni.

The BJP kept the Shiv Sena below itself and kept trying to fill the vacant land on the ground floor.

This is the reason that in the 2014 elections, the Shiv Sena and BJP also contested separately. However, when the BJP saw that the Shiv Sena had done well in the elections, they re-aligned with it.

The strength of BJP's failed Pawar

This time, the BJP wanted to give some heavy-handed ministry to retain the Shiv Sena in the alliance, but Uddhav Thackeray wanted him to have the post so that he could succeed in making direct contact with the people.

The BJP was not ready to give the Shiv Sena a half-term as Chief Minister.

The BJP has failed to test that Shiv Sena and Uddhav Thackeray have worked at the ground level for the last several years and that is why they are not getting ready for less than the post of Chief Minister. Shiv Sena also emphasized on issues of farmers in Maharashtra.

Uddhav Thackeray was declared a liar on behalf of Fadnavis in this entire dispute, Shiv Sena was taken lightly by BJP center leaders. Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena was receiving signs of support from Sharad Pawar.

In the midst of all this, Sharad Pawar kept his side strong by remaining silent. He constantly said that the people had given him and the Congress a mandate to sit in opposition.

Pawar did not allow disclosure of how often he was meeting with the Shiv Sena and was preparing his leaders for formation of the government.

The rounds of these meetings came to the fore on Monday when a meeting between Pawar and Uddhav took place. That too when the Shiv Sena minister resigned from the center and then the agitation in Maharashtra intensified.
