The Finance Minister also said that the government will benefit one lakh crore from selling these two companies in this financial year.

The government had also planned to sell Air India last year, but then the investors had not shown much enthusiasm in buying Air India, so it could not be sold.

Sitharaman told the Times of India that before the start of the sale process of Air India, enthusiasm has been seen in investors.
