IND vs BAN: India defeated Bangladesh in Kolkata Test, created world record

India defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs in the Kolkata Test. It was India's first Test match with Pink Ball.

This series of two matches has been won by India 2–0. With this, India has become the first team to win four consecutive Test matches by an innings margin.

India had earlier defeated South Africa by an innings and 137 runs in Pune, beat South Africa by an innings and 202 runs in Ranchi and defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 130 runs in Indore.

This test played with pink ball was named after fast bowlers. Spin bowlers did not get a single wicket. Indian fast bowlers took 19 wickets in this Test in total. Ishant Sharma took five wickets in the first innings while he took four wickets in the second innings.

Similarly, Umesh Yadav took three wickets in the first innings and five wickets in the second.

Game over in the first session on the third day itself
India sent the entire team of Bangladesh to the pavilion in the first session of the third day. Earlier, by the end of the second day's play, Bangladesh's team had scored 152 runs losing six wickets.

He had to make 89 runs today to avoid the innings defeat, but the Indian bowlers also dropped the last four wickets very quickly.

In the second session of the second day of this day-night Test played at the Eden Gardens, India declared an innings by taking a lead of 241, scoring 347 runs for nine wickets. This included Virat Kohli's century (136).

After this, Bangladesh's second innings faltered in the beginning. At one time, four Bangladesh players had returned to the pavilion on the score of 13 runs.

However Mushfiqur Rahim held one end and played an important role in taking the match to the third day. He scored the highest 74 runs for his team. Apart from him, no other player from Bangladesh could score a half-century.
