Indian cricket team opener Shikhar Dhawan is out of the T20 series against the West Indies.


The selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named Sanju Samson in his place in the team.

The BCCI has given this information. According to the press release issued by the board, during the Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy, Shikhar Dhawan had a deep cut below his left knee.

The medical team of the board examined Shikhar Dhawan. The medical team says that it will take more time to remove the stitches and heal the wounds.

Meanwhile, Wriddhiman Saha's right hand finger has also been operated. Saha suffered an injury during the recently concluded Pink Ball Test.
