Xiaomi launched Redmi 8 in October this year. But now it is reported that the company has started work on its upgrade and it will be introduced in the first quarter of 2020. It can be called as Redmi 9. It has been claimed that this phone can come with MediaTek G70 processor with at least 4 GB RAM. According to the latest leaks, the Redmi 9's profile will be slightly larger than its old variants. As of now, no information has been received regarding the camera and battery capacity of this phone.

According to the report of 91Mobiles, Redmi 9 will have a MediaTek G70 processor not yet launched.

 It is designed for affordable Android smartphones. This is the first time any information about this processor has been made public. As the name suggests, it will be under the Helio G90 and Helio G90T processors in MediaTek's portfolio. This processor is also made for gaming. In such a situation, you can expect better than average performance in mobile games.

It is reported that the MediaTek G70 processor given in Redmi 9 will come with at least 4 GB RAM and 64 GB inbuilt storage. However, there will be other variants based on the RAM and storage of this phone. But so far no information about camera hardware has been leaked on the internet. However, at least two rear cameras are set to be given on the back side, as Redmi 8 was also launched in the market with dual rear camera setup.

It is claimed that Redmi 9 will have a 6.6-inch screen and will be equipped with Waterdrop Notch style. Apart from this, the dimensions of this phone of Xiaomi will be bigger than the old variants. The Redmi 9 is expected to be launched in the Chinese market in the first quarter of 2020. Only after this, the handset will be launched in the Indian market.
